Dear Friends,

for those who are still confuse, GST 6% is charged on all Brokerage Fees & Clearing Fees for purchasing the shares..

Eg. Purchased 10,000 units of share for ABC.

Proceeds = 10,000.00
Brokerage Fee = 42.00 (GST 6% x RM42.00 = RM2.52 will be charged)
Clearing Fee = 3.00 (GST 6% x RM3.00 = RM0.18 will be charged)
Stamp Duty = 10.00
Total GST 6% = 2.70 (2.52 + 0.18)
Net Amount = 10,057.70

Hope the above illustration helps to clarify
and present a clearer picture..
