Whoa! El Nino already caused my friends FFB production to drop by 50% already. However, they get Rm500 a tonne for FFB now compared to only Rm380 a tonne late last year.

So if beetle destroy oil palm then CPO might even go higher than Rm4,000 a tonne and FFB will double to Rm1,000.

My friends in Johor, Pahang & Sabah sure kaya leow!

I think you will need at least 2.7 B to continue with the exercise down to 2000 pts. Put it in the Bank with interest rate of 3.5% per months, the yield is one million a month.

Beetle may destroy palm oil sector A species of beetle illegally brought in across the Thai-Malaysian border has been ravaging the nation’s palm trees, and – if left unchecked – can potentially decimate the palm oil industry within just 20 years. The red palm weevil, or Rhynchophorus ferrugineus, is a species of beetle that excavates holes in the trunk of palm trees, eventually killing the plant. It infests coconut palms, date palms and oil palms.According to the Department of Agriculture’s (DoA) Plant Biosecurity Division, so far a whopping 465ha of coconut trees are gone, mainly in Terengganu and Kedah.

THE number of applicants for the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) scheme had decreased by almost half last year from the previous year, according to statistics available on the MM2H website. Does this mean Malaysia is losing its charm in attracting foreigners to invest in property, live or to retire here?Economic uncertainties are among the reasons for the drop in the number of MM2H applicants to 1,855 in November 2015 from 3,074 in 2014, said Malaysia Property Incorporated (MPI) general manager Veena Loh.

“What worries us is that if these beetles do not have access to their main source of food in date palms, they will move to oil palm trees.

“There have been reports which are still unconfirmed as yet, but it is a very real concern,” she said, adding that research was currently ongoing in several universities across the country.

Most big caps too rich in valuations. can afford only those below RM 1 mark. Most plantation counters not actively traded. prepare to hold for short/long term (unlike other speculative contra plays ) to reap the CPO theme . this is my personal view

That's why you have to diversify into many Oil Palm Counters.
Those in East Malaysia will be spared for now.

And if More Oil Palm Trees are destroyed CPO price might leap up to Rm5,000 a tonne easily.

So buy CPO future will be

Head you win
Tail you win even more

"And if More Oil Palm Trees are destroyed CPO price might leap up to Rm5,000 a tonne easily"

Such a simplicity in thought. When Palm Oil goes higher than substitute oils such as soya, rapseed, sunflower, olive, corn, peanut, rice bran it will sit in whorehouse and rot.

Please dun talk syiok sendiri brother.

You must ready half approximately half a million to follow his suggested trading plan.and hold the 71 lots position if market really falls below 2500. By then you will be holding paper losses of approximately 131k....illogical.

Smalltimer?

A very familiar in Pm Corp? Did you make any monies when I called for a buy on Pm Corp on September 20th 2013.

You don't know anything about La Lina, do you?

When La Nina arrives there won't be enough soy, corn, canola & Sun flower oil for sale. Why?

Answer:

Because LA NINA HAS WIPED THEM OFF CLEAN FROM THE SURFACE OF PLANET EARTH.

So there is NO Competition against the remaining Palm Oil which is more precious than liquid gold by then.

Are you able to SEE the Future?

most plantations have forecast this year pricing between RM 2,600- RM 3,000 subject to market conditions ( barring unforseen circumstances ) El Nino is hitting & curbing the yield in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Price wise this is far better than last year average price RM 2,100 ( + 20% - 25% ) on comparison. The beetle mentioned is a pest very common in Coconut and dates palm.

Hopefully, this bettle will refrain from oil palm trees. If they switch from coconut to oil palm. the consequences is going to hit all the small holders hard . Planters have agronomist and chemicals to curb the spread but not the smallholders.

Small Co's listed on the Plantations have beenignorned by funds for the past 2 years ( due to low CPO pricing ) Hopefully , their perception will change and go for smaller companies instead of big cap. this is my personal view
