Oldtown cafe really suffered and their AU market is collapsing. Paparich in fact already established as Malaysia leading Cafe chain in AU with over 30 outlets. Oldtown lost big time on quality and variety.

I had lunch in paparich when I last visited Australia. The roti canai, nasi lemak and other Malaysian food drew in huge crowds in Australia.

Since Old Town's main strength is in white coffee - it cannot compete against Gloria Jeans coffee in Australia. People in Australia like Gloria Jean white flat coffee more. So on all counts the Australian Market is tough for Old Town coffee.

Last year when Old Town raised its f/b prices to unreasonable level sales crashed.

So by end 2015 they came out with more budget level food. That stemmed the losses.

Overall, Old Town will have average growth only. There are better more promising stocks to invest.

I used to visit oldtown quite often, about 3,4 times a week, but now rarely. Nothing special about their food, but price is high. Everytime they revamp the menu, the price is getting higher and higher. but anyway, their white coffe pack still good selling.
