=====================

IPO time? but that was too long ago.....nevertheless the timing is this impairment also very suspicious...why now? why not earlier? didn't they know earlier?

lots of questions for the MIA, MICPA to answer

impairment is non cash, but why is it good for future earning?

Future earnings depend on operation not impairment or assets revaluation? Parkson also had assets impairment last 2-3 years.

whatever the motive..Accounts are supposed to show true and fair view as at Balance Sheet...not what the directors want and when.

shareholder advocacy groups? SC? MSWG , where are you when we need you?

The directors would have known about the impairments one year ago...maybe two years ago...but they get to choose the timing for the impairments, in collusion with the auditors.

Can people who bot and lose money hold the directors / auditors responsible....? Not to mention , in the last two years the substantial shareholders were on a selling spree

Investing in stk markets has risks, although this may not be obvious to many who make good money in recent years.
After all stks markets has been generally up for the past 10 years, since 2008.
Could 2018 be the start of a new downtrend that has been long awaited by many experienced hands ?
In the current uncertain investing climate, would it be more prudent to stick to the safely of proven stocks that are still in uptrend rather than downtrend stks ?
Investors lose money, partly because they try to outperform the market, to bet on a stk that is trading at the lows and hope that it will rebound to their TP. When the stk continue to go down, they cannot turn around and cry scam, lousy mgmt, this and that, because they are responsible to pick this stk in the first place..hahaha

does the last audited accounts give a true and fair view then?

If investors study the companies first, to find out if good or lousy, before invest, then maybe less surprises..

Analysts buy into the story that impairment is good....rather the other story of whether its last audited accounts gives a true and fair view? whether you should trust your money to such management?...whether got job or no job? if got jobs why the need for impairments?

moral of the story...IB analysts work in collusion with listed companies.

if auditors also like analysts, then die la.
