Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council praised the results achieved by Hai Duong BOT Thermal Power Plant in recent years. This is the project with the largest total Chinese investment in Vietnam, contributing to the socio-economic development of Kinh Mon town in particular and Hai Duong province in general.

He emphasized the effort to concretize the commitments between the province and the owner of the basic plant have been implemented, the construction schedule is guaranteed, the No. 1 generating set is expected to operate in June 2020. Mr. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee asked the leaders and workers of BOT Hai Duong Thermal Power Plant to make more efforts to put the No. 2 generator set into operation in late September 2020 to welcome the provincial Party Congress. XVII.

Regarding the procedure for building slag dump, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee to directly work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses. During the trial operation, he suggested that the investor of the factory try to minimize the noise and dust generated, and actively coordinate with the Kinh Mon town government to ensure environmental sanitation, without affecting to the lives of the people.

Mr. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee congratulated the factory leader and all employees, and expressed his confidence with the results achieved in 2019 as a premise for the unit to be more successful in 2020.

From the above two links, it should be clear that Unit 1 which is completed will be on operation for electricity generation by March 2020 with a buffer of 2 months (for any teething issues when connecting to the grid) to meet the committed deadline of June 2020.

when oil price drop due to global economic concern, RM will weaken....

this means cheaper coal price (higher incentive for EVN to raise thermal power plant utilization rate) and higher cash flow in terms of RM converted from USD...

Utility sector should be where the investors flock too..

market will eventually realize this
