Any advice, take it with a pinch of salt.
After that crisis, the Hong Kong last Governor was in Bangkok and met a "Tycoon" selling at a road side stall. He told the Governor he was bankrupt and had to start all over again.
A painful lesson but its the reality in life.
That was why your story etched deep in me too.
You have made a lot of contribution in I3. Ignore the noises. Just let them take it or leave it.

Palm oil survived during the Asian crisis due to China purchasing palm oil from us. This was revealed by a former Trade n Industry Minister in a speech during the Perak Timber Trade Association Dinner in 1999. I was at that dinner.

USA, Brazil and Argentina are top producer of soybean

Right now both Brazil and Argentina are suffering from Floods in the north and drought in the south

With less soybean to produce soyoil prices will remain elevated and by proxy palm oil prices will stay very high
