No idea. But there are many reasons for doing that.
There is a law and rules to follow on VGO and MGO

its a bit weird to me.. why not acquire in open market which is much lower than the price said(if it is true).. appreciation to loyal shareholders? just curious..

They are not able to get the quantity they want from the market without pushing up the price too much.

if VGO by Petronas (RM 5.30) fail, is that PETRONAS dare to buy MISC warrant to increase their equity up to 90 per cent. MR tony lim please respond.
