MRCB is in a possible line up for a few construction awards:
1) LRT3 worth RM10 billion alongside GKent and other local contractors 2) Bandar Malaysia - RM64 billion to be shared by one of the Fortune 500 companies in partnership with local contractors-possibly MRCB, etc
My opinion is that rights issue is not necessarily a bad thing.
If it is used to pay debts (due to non-ability to pay) then it is a bad thing.
However, if it is used for further expansion, then in my opinion, it is actually a good thing.
Basing on MRCB's revenues for the past few years, you can see a sudden jump in 2016 figures.
This shows that they are getting aggressive and will need funds to support the expansion.
As such, I believe it is still ok to buy provided that you have funds to subscribe to the rights issue. If you buy now and do not not exercise your right, then you will be on the losing end.
For the last ten years, whenever the moving average 150 crossover the moving average 50, the long term downtrend lasted at least for a year before it rebounded. First time lasted a year from Rm3.00 to Rm0.50. Second time lasted two and half years from Rm2.25 to Rm1.50. Third time lasted 2 years from Rm 1.70 to Rm 1.20. However, in a few days time, the 150 MA is very likely to cross the 50 MA. Can I say that there's a very high possibility that the next downtrend would drop for at least 30% and last for at least a year once the crossover happens. Is there anyone with different opinion, mind to share it here?
