(Kuala Lumpur, 11th) Century Software (CENSOF, 5195, main board technology stocks) in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022, net profit plummeted 78.07% to 1.783,000 ringgits or 0.32 sen per share; the same quarter last fiscal year was 8.29 million ringgits.

The company reported to the stock exchange on Wednesday that its turnover in the first quarter increased by 59.45% year-on-year to RM 21.59 million; it was RM 13.27 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The statement explained that the two major businesses of financial management solutions provided to the government and enterprises have contributed to the improvement of revenue.

However, a fair value adjustment loss worth RM250,000 caused a sharp drop in net profit for the quarter.

According to the statement, the board of directors estimates that the performance will be better this fiscal year because the acceptance of cloud technology by existing core customers has rapidly increased.

In addition, the company is constantly reviewing and re-adjusting its core business activities, which should achieve greater business synergy and save more costs.

In the NST article above it mentions that "The loss on fair value adjustment of RM2.05 million on short-term investment on Dagang Nexchange Bhd in contrast to an RM8.89 million gain recognised in the same quarter last year. " I would say that it should be considered as an one-off event. Any comments on this ??
What is more interesting is that the same article has mentioned the fantastic growth from FMS -G and FMS- C & SME . So we can look forward for a fantastic growth and good EPS in the next quarter :-
The company said for the quarter, revenue from FMS – G and FMS – C & SME divisions were RM12.8 million and RM6.8 million respectively, versus RM8.3 million and RM4.3 million generated a year ago.
Correspondingly, it said the pre-tax profit of both divisions were RM3.2 million and RM2.7 million, translating to an increase of 87.3 per cent and more than 100 per cent respectively.

Censof much better company than Dnex. After selling its shares in Dnex last month, it can sure fly in future. Previously, Censof's price always tied to DNex price fluctuations. This is small hiccup. No more shareholder in DNex. Future is bright.

Coming qr close on 31/9 ,dnex price will higher than 0.705,so next qr is paper gain for dnex share.

We must wait for DNex to go up. And that people must realise it's only a paper loss on the fair value adjustment of DNex shares from 90 sen to 70 sen in end June. If by end Sept, DNex is able to go to RM1, its fair value gain of 30 sen on Dnex would be reflected in the next QR results for Censof. Dnex had just got a US400 million contract from Chipone China, wait for Foxconn orders to come in. I don't see why DNex would not go to RM1 soon.
