with good news from vaccine, what Pharmaniaga would benefit?

1) Pharmaniaga, the gov controlled entity will be given priority since she is the only 1 or 2 company has the facility to pack, store and distribute the vaccine complying to MOH strict regulation. In course of this pandemic and intention to speedy cover the population, gov will highly possible renew her supply and distribute contract to a further years because she has the logistic system link to gov hospital .

2) With recovery of normal life, we expect more ppl including Indonesian will revisit hospitals and clinics which will push up the sales of drugs.

Govt signs deal with Pfizer for 12.8 mil Covid-19 vaccine doses — PM Muhyiddin

The Malaysian government, through the Health Ministry, has signed a preliminary purchasing agreement with pharmaceutical company Pfizer to obtain 12.8 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to meet the immunisation needs of 20% or 6.4 million Malaysians.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the agreement, signed on Tuesday (Nov 24), aimed to ensure the government had access to data to assess the vaccine’s quality, safety and effectiveness while also ensuring access once it was ready for distribution.

After inked the vaccine deal, immediately must assign some company to do the distribution job right, mean by next week must announce which company doing the distribution job... Because Pfizer they already standby their vaccine at airport, just wait the approve then they immediately will send the vaccine... So next week when announce who get the distribution job the share price will fly

There is absolutely no need for vaccines to extinguish the pandemic. I’ve never heard such nonsense talked about vaccines. You do not vaccinate people who aren’t at risk from a disease. You also don’t set about planning to vaccinate millions of fit and healthy people with a vaccine that hasn’t been extensively tested on human subjects.

PM: No call to reject 2021 Budget just to bring about polls

"There is no need to do that (reject the 2021 Budget). If you ask me, I could have yesterday advised the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, to dissolve Parliament so that a general election can be held.

"But we all know that the problem is Covid-19. InsyaAllah, if He allows it, when the pandemic is over, we can hold a general election.

Muhyiddin added that the 2021 Budget, worth RM322.5 billion which was passed at the policy level in Parliament on Thursday, is aimed at easing the burden of the people and restoring the country's economy.

"I hope the 2021 Budget will be approved at the Dewan Rakyat and subsequently at the Dewan Negara. This is to ensure that the people will receive the assistance that they need during this tough time."

FORMER Prime Minister (PM) Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said no significant change can be achieved if the proposed Budget 2021 is rejected at the committee level debate session.

“Rejecting the budget at the committee level, as it is said to be done, will not bring any significant impact on the government nor the proposed budget.

As my speculation, the landing of Covid vaccines is just a matter of time. Regardless which pharma vaccines are used later, whether bottling is involved or not, PHARMANIAGA is the only company in Malaysia equipped with capacity, logistics technology and network, reachability to all health facilities in Malaysia. Not to forget that there is possibility of appointing the company as the sole Bumi middle agent to mediate the trading and distribution terms with any global giant.

As said, a huge revenue is expected to flow in to the company soon.
