the averaging down or averaging up have their pros and con. it depend on the timing e.g. market sentiment, overbought, oversold position of that counter. use the wrong method, then obviously what would cost the person. hahaha

if you bought a wrong counter and saw distribution by syndicate, sell. preserve your cash. don't fall in love with the counter lah. think rationally but act mechanically.

if the counter is going up, and you saw there are huge interest, keep it for awhile till you saw it is over heated. bail out and let those that are greedier with bigger appetite do the playing. your profit is safe in your pocket and you sleep well

Unrealised/ paper profit is not real until you get it.
Back to those days, investors could had earned through this method like what @StingRay says.
The problem with glove is with so many uncertainties and Bursa these days could only do swing trade. But how confident one can be to trade with such momentum? Maybe other counter but not glove. I am afraid many will got trapped deeper later.
