As UOB was pointing out to us, wct share muted after announcement of settlement. Good for us to accumulate. Hold tight tight for 2 to 3 years. Should be well rewarded.
Likely Q3 because agreement date and payment date all done in July. I don't expect Q2 is good. But if got special dividend, I think should be declared in Q2 report. Just my opinion.
Ok, thanks Sharefisher, I also expect the same, but special dividend is uncertain, looking at the high net gearing now & company need to reduce it first to save interest, to keep some capitals for coming projects as well..
Too bad that this good news was announced during very bad market sentiment time. This huge amount of fund is very good for wct to turn around. Will hold first.

Interest expense and sukuk profit really cutting down the profit. Compared to last year 2rd QR, Total bank borrowing added 38m to 2.993b...... Cash and bank balance dropped almost 50% to 277m, net cash decrease 246m... No joke. Without Meydan settlement and land sales, wct will be in very difficult position sooner or later. Hopefully, after these events, it is a turning point for wct.
Thanks Sharefisher, WCT needs the settlement & land sales to reduce its net gearing, save the interest, so don’t think it will give special dividend like IJM, however, it’s turning point now, hopefully the quarterly reports getting better & better, moving forward, when it included the land sales & settlement, at least provide limited down side risks, WCT Boleh. Yes. One good point was all the lands sold with gain. Now with umno is back to driving seat, I think they know well how to push economy with construction, this reflected in the movement of construction counters recently. Gamuda was in high gear speeding today. I own some gamuda also. Don't think need to worry if you have holding power. Cheers.

Yes, got the share dividend. I think most of the short term traders are gone. Good time to collect if you can hold for long term.
