In August 2021, Awantec subsidiary Awantec Systems Sdn Bhd was elevated to Googles's Premier Level Partner in Malaysia.

The partnership with Google allows Awantec to be part of government's cloud framework agreement (CFA) signed in May 2022. The CFA is one of the main trusts to drive the digital transformation of the public sector, especially by utilising the cloud network.

Awantec is doing analytics for Google and cloud transformation programmes for Google (for customers that use Google Suites).

Awantec is already serving about 400,000 civil servants through Google Workspace productivity tools and students using the Google Classroom application. Awantec provide Google Workplace services to five million schoolchildren.

Awantec has also penetrated the commercial segment, to tap the cloud transformation and migration market. Awantec believe that the business is going to see quite a big growth.

On May 7, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz confirmed that Google would invest in Malaysia.

Names like Amazon Web Services, NTT (a global infrastructure and services company) and GDS (a developer and operator of high-performance data centres) have been investing in Malaysia. Then of course, there is Nvidia’s RM20 billion investment in data centres with YTL Corp Bhd (KL:YTL).

On May 2, Microsoft announced a US$2.2 billion investment in Malaysia for new cloud and AI infrastructure and on May 7, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz confirmed that Google would invest in Malaysia.

“We know that Google is going to invest in Malaysia, so with us being the partner for the public sector, it creates a lot of opportunities for us,” says Azlan.

will always be known for.......Awantec gained prominence in 2017 when it was awarded a RM3.5 billion contract to upgrade and integrate the border control systems for the Immigration Department. In 2019, the Pakatan Harapan government cancelled the contract.... this is to a company that market cap is 350m :-) it has big ambitions nevertheles...

I looking good Awantec. Awantec in good position to secure more contracts from corporate and government. After solved the problem of Paragraph 8.03A., It is on the way back to glory time. Compared to many AI stocks in KLSE, i think Awantec is 100% truely AI stock in market. Many ppls no noticed it. Awantec have huge potential, time to buy and hold. Current price deem very very cheap.
