FELDA Wilayah Alor Setar terletak di daerah Mergong, Alor Setar Kedah. Pengurusan dan pentadbiran Wilayah Alor Setar bermula ada 1 Januari 2006. Wilayah Alor Setar mempunyai 16 buah rancangan melibatkan 13 rancangan yang mempunyai peneroka iaitu Batu 8, Guar Napai, Bukit Tangga, Bukit Tembaga, Gunung Bongsu, Laka Selatan, Lubuk Merbau, Sungai Tiang, Teloi Kanan, Teloi Timur dan Mata Air. Manakala tiga rancangan tidak mempunyai peneroka iaitu Gunung Bongsu 2, Chuping 2 dan Tapak Semaian Chuping. Terdapat 10 rancangan terletak di Negeri Kedah melibatkan enam Daerah Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Kulim, Pendang, Baling dan Sik. Manakala terdapat enam rancangan terletak di negeri Perlis melibatkan bilangan peneroka di Wilayah Alor Setar ialah 4,042 orang. Luas ladang ialah 14,439.62 hektar dan luas kampung ialah 1,258.95 hektar.

I opined whether it is necessary for PH "to open up all the closet and see what's in there" as this may not related to 1MDB and there is no sign that they will dig in FGV. Afterall, PH have one time said that politic will not interfer in FGV. May be what they deem fit is to replace the top personnel.

I definitely would like to invest, but I am nor yet confident with the cost entry, it could be lower than,let say $1''and thatz quite a big difference. As I remember, isa n jibby use a lot money from this company, donno what is left, still enough or need more injection?

Hopefully like what you think. From TDM's first visit to Japan and the reciprocal yesterday, I am hardly convinced of their intention to have a better relationship with China unless the August's TDM visit to China materialize.

many things that we can learn from japan, and the most important, i guess la, their work attitude/ethic. It can be applied across the board, be it in manufacturing or plantation industry, education, etc.
The whole world knows that japan has the best working attitude that we wanted to emulate. Remember in those years, our nation progress due to Japanese influence..look east policy. Japan only focus on doing business, no other hidden agenda...that olso imortant..huu

Once MD Z.... mentioned that he never disturb the Snr Managers of the estates as they know what to do ????
1.fgv trees above 20 yrs old n yield about 15 mt with this yield they can close d Co
2.Zakaria should set IOI or KLK as a bench mark for fgv plantation
3.Snr mgrs are well paid n they are suppose to perform as they are suppose to be professional planters
4.If these mgrs cannot perform Z shd remove them n he shd know what to do n not told what to do
5. Please dont blame PH but what PM said is true, remuneration etc depence on their productivity, if yield is 15 mt then fgv is no more in oil palm buisness hence the entire top guns should resign

As said FGV cannot blame anyone for their failure … since PH clearly have said they will not interfere with the company day to day operation ..Nevertheless palm oil industry needs to PH support at this point of time … after neglected for the past few years .. Also may be its time to show to the whole world how an organization which created for the betterment of Malays can show their worth ?
