Malaysia to raise minimum bio content in biodiesel to 10% from Dec 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will increase the minimum bio content local producers must add to its biodiesel fuel for certain sectors to 10% from 7% starting on Dec 1.

Primary Industries Minister Teresa Kok said in a radio interview with national news agency Bernama on Wednesday that the government had given the approval to implement the so-called B10 biodiesel mandate.

“The Cabinet has approved the use of B10 and it will be implemented from Dec 1. We also have the agreement from the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers that the industrial sector will use B7,” she said in the interview which was posted on Bernama Radio’s Facebook page.

Fuel stations in Malaysia currently use B7 biofuel.

Kok said with these measures, the use of palm oil locally was expected to double, without elaborating.

The B10 biodiesel programme will be implemented in the transport sector and other subsidised sectors in stages and will be mandatory from February 2019, Bloomberg News said on Thursday citing a letter from the Primary Industries Ministry to petroleum companies.

CIMB Research analyst Ivy Ng said the move would be positive for the palm oil market on expectations of increased consumption for biodiesel purpose in Malaysia. “This could help reduce current high palm oil stock levels over time,” she said.

Inventories in Indonesia and Malaysia, the top producers of the tropical oil, are expected to rise in the next two months on slower demand from key buyers in winter months as palm oil solidifies. – Bernama

All the news out from FGV. Why do people still BUY?

No need to mention anymore the damages that FGV have to suffer due to the high premium and assets bought by incompetence and corrupted political-linked directors.

Looking ahead, the elected group under Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor supervision to settle internal and external issue of FGV.

Question, how good is TS Megat Zaharuddin?

For those who equate MAS with FGV, maybe the equation is the fate that FGV will suffer like MAS.

Many forgotten MAS is only airflight business alone. FGV is made up of hundreds and thousands aches of lands and some land properties than can deem for disposal upon liquidating the assets for debts settlement.

To sue the Ex-Directors served as a good moral consequences to others Directors that they will not be any escaped should there is misappropriation and misleading managements taken place.

A body need to detoxification before proper nutrition is allowed to be absorbed for better functionality.

When there are so much fear factor going on in a stock, it's usually draw out apportunity to BUY.

FGV served as a good moral story to everyone and every parts of the world.

Race marginalization will fail a nation. The case goes to any other countries that practice racial bigotry, skin-based opportunities, misused one race issue to stir up racial sentiment with the means to provoke, to inflict fear on a peaceful country for own selfish benefits.

Consequences of one-race in power draw only disaster and years of failure and losses.

Only the weak spirited human being will use marginalization as a way to win a race. Those are the people who refuse to work hard to equip themselves to compete in the arena.

For now, only by the repentance of one-race can save FGV.

supertonic oversold or not i dont think FGV this QR will have a suprise result so down is the only way it go. i feel very pain when cut loss this morning but market close i feel very light like put down a big stone. everyday worry the QR out will be bad and how low it can go damn now just crash lah.

There are many who loss out in FGV. Those who hold since IPO time suffer the most. There are those who hold before GE14, also suffered the loss.
I believed FGV can go back to at least 2.00. That is the right price for FGV to settle at.

For now, all the negative news, from CPO to corruptions to Debts, all not siding on FGV shares. Now only the PH government can act as God to FGV. They safe FGV or not safe, all will be reflected and tabled by Azmin Ali on Dec 1st.

Just take DRBH for example, it was 2.60 once upon a time. The continuous losses quarters pulled the price down to almost 90 cents. Then once the news of China GEELY Group bought over DRBH, the price went up straight and settle at 2.67!

So, anything can happened.

Many didn't research deep enough into palm oil benefits. As compared to soybean oil , oil palm covers huge segments of benefits from pharmaceutical to household and to bio diesel efficiency to transport.

Oil Palm is the best commodity oil which can be found and planted only in tropical climate like Malaysia and Indonesia.

The only oil that can challenge the soybean oil is none other than palm oil.

Many didn't know that palm oil produces wider range of household goods including soap, margarine, cooking oil, great source of vitamin E,stroke prevention supplements for brains (UPM: research based found on tocotrienols a superb source of stroke prevention and eczema proven award winning to combat source of Vitamin E)

Green diesel =biodiesel. The biodiesel efficiency blended with gasoline produce high efficiency of milleage and transportation to car in the region.

95% of cosmetics used palm oil due to the saturated fats and stable. Most of the famous brands will have palm oil contents.

Cooking oil. Needless to say.

EU find fault with palm oil industry because of the severe open burning which challenge the habitats of the orang utan. Air pollution caused by uncontrollable open burning to clear the land for planting younger palm oil is another harzadous issue which spark the European Union attention.

The Malaysian palm oil benchmark slumped to a near three-year low earlier this month due to high inventories, rising production and sluggish demand.

Traders are looking to upcoming G20 meeting later this week in Buenos Aires for clues on how commodities markets will look in 2019.

"There's a lot of uncertainty around the US and China's trade pact," the trader said.

Malaysia's announcement on Monday of revisions to its biodiesel content rules would likely be supportive for palm oil in the intermediate and long-term, he said.

mcmann, when FGV price dropped so much pressumely more than 50% from the share price u have bought, what are u going to do? If you cut now, it means 50% loss. It's too deep.

it cuts really deep but with current situation there is no light at the end of tunnel. Im quite sure this QR is bad looking at the CPO price, how can FGV go up in short term ? if the CPO price is bullish business is good but with a lot of corrupt issue i will still fight and hold. i dont see anything is on FGV side no eye see la
