Opec need to make announcement on 4th March 2021 Meeting whether to increase supply or remain the current policies. But Russia want to ramp up production due to shortage in their side also. But Saudi and a few Arab Nation still want to wait because they believe the current situation is temporary. So dont know what going to happen. US are in shortage at the moment and they unable to resume production very fast.

So if OPEC and Russia decided to increase their production (plus US resuming production post winter disruption), BRENT price may fall back to the previous level. And if that being the case, it may be risky for us to go in O&G counters.

Valgrovest, I wouldnt go as far as far previous level. Every airline and cruise ship stock has rebounded in these few days (eg. Airasia). US plan to have most vaccination done by July and so are the other countries including Malaysia. Globally, people are optimistic to travel again and there will be a huge oil demand by the end of the year (prompted no new virus). In my opinion is the EV market could be the biggest threat to the oil and gas industry. However Tesla, XPev, Nio stocks have drop significantly these few days (could be market correction). I agree that there is risk but the reward seems to outweigh it atm.
