@cmlow1958 Yes, there will be adjustment to the price on ex-date of warrant issue, IF the mother share is above the warrant exercise price.

Solarvest WA exercise price is RM1.50; assuming mother share price is RM3.50 on by ex-date, the formula of adjustment is as follows:

Since 1 warrant given per 4 mother share,
> ((4 * RM3.50) + (1 * RM1.50)) / (4 + 1) = RM3.10

So the mother share is adjusted to RM3.10 on ex-date. To calculate adjustment price, just replace the RM3.50 in the equation with the relevant mother share price.

1. before bonus issue let say mother price is 3.5 , warrant 1.5 cost , then warrant price will be 2
2. after bonus issue mother price drop to 2.33 "1share free for 2 own" and warrant price drop from 1.5 to 1 , then the warrant price will be 1.333 ...
so with the bonus issue day the warrant price will drop from 2 to 1.333
need to run warrant before the ex bonus date

CONTINUE DISCUSSION:

Mother share at 3.10 warrant price should command 30% premium = 4.03 less 1.5 = 2.53.
( or even 40% or 50% premium)
To get to 2.53, warrant has to surge:
First listing day: 3.1-1.5 = 1.6 all the way up to 1.6x1.3 (30% limit up) =2.08
Second day: 2.08x1.3 (30% limit up) = 2.70 (can be higher than 30% premium @2.53, meaning 40% or even 50% premium)
Warrant would be earning 2.70 - 1.6 =1.1 per warrant

Say mother share at 3.1 before ex-date of mother share bonus issue.
After bonus issue of 1 for 2 existing holding share, the mother share price is at 3.1x2 divided by 3:
2.05.
The warrant is then command 30% premium =2.05 x 1.3 = 2.65 approximate about 2.70, which is current warrant price.

MY TAKE:
Since warrant ex-price is now 1.00 after mother share bonus issue, the current warrant price of 2.7 is to be adjusted as follows:
2.7 +1.0 less 2.65 = 1.05 to be adjusted / reduced so as to be equal to mother share + 30% permium at 2.65
Warrant price is now 1.65

At current price 3.11,mother adjust to 2.79 and warrant is 1.3x2.79-1.5 = 2.13,
So warrant listing at 2.79-150 = 1.29 and so i 1st day LU is 1.68

Stop calculating now. This week got 3.5 days and I expect not much movement up this week coz long time folks will take profit ahead of CNY.

Next week got 5 days. Watch next week coz that’s the important week. Important dates will be 18/2 and 19/2 (18/2 much more important coz Fri is 19/2 and will be last day to buy to be entitled)

It is because after CNY public holidays and KLSE opens on 15 FEB, the share price will ballooned sky high....... you will have to chase high for it

It is unrealistic to assume that , warrant will trade with 30% premium, since the gearing is likely to be less than 2 , and parity ratio to be above 1.5 even though the duration of warrant is 5 years

Thought the conversion/exercise price is fixed at RM1.50 already, even after bonus issue listing?
Someone who is expert in this can summarise in a simple manner for benefits of all, now looks very confusing because of Warrant listing and bonus listing at two different periods.
