Yeah, so surprising! Sinovac was not that good! But still, the effectiveness was above 90%! Pfizer was surprisingly 2nd best! And hold up! Astrazeneca came out 1st in given vaccinated ones the ultimate protection!
This data came from MOH! And i guess from this data, Astrazeneca clearly proven the best option on the table to restart all sectors!
As booster shot will have to be made by next year, i think government should give priorty to Astrazeneca! Sinovac and Ptizer for those with complications!

I think Ptizer became less effective as it requires very cold storage! As for Astrazeneca, it not so fussy! Hence it's also cost effective beside been more effective suited to Malaysia condition!

@Tobby, if Sinovac is not that good, have you heard of returning/increasing new cases in China versus US, Europe, etc???

Dude! I am referring strictly to data coming out from MOH! You should check it out! The death rate from those vaccinated with Astrazeneca was only like 0.01%!

Oh, another piece of great news from Astrazeneca! They say no need of bosster shot for those taken complete shots of Astrazeneca!
Meaning Astrazeneca effectiveness remain much longer compare to Ptizer!
Taking Israel experience which rely on Ptizer shots, so far countries that gone for Astrazeneca remain better in facing delta variant!

The verdict is out! Data coming out from MOH shows Astrazeneca is the way forward! It seems Ptizer vaccine wane too fast! Whereas Astrazeneca, so far suggest no need for booster shots!
So in the long run, Astrazeneca is much more cost effective and effective! I hope government realise this! The sooner the better! But i think Khairy did a good job by making many vaccine option during the initially mass vaccination!
We saw Ptizer, Astrazeneca, Sinovac and now Casinov used on mass vaccination!
But again, Astrazeneca prove to be the superior one! And for future, in fact next future, those who took Ptizer should be given Astrazeneca booster shots!

In conclusion, this mRNA tech is not effective enough! Astrazeneca opt for very different tech!
I won't explain it but my 2 cents, it's and old proven tech with a twist! But it sure it proven to be much more effective compare to Ptizer!

All the efficacy statistics of vaccines can be taken with a pinch of salt. Comparison needs to be done when all conditions were equal.

Sinovac was not good, many death, as the MOH data said so, but those 16 millions doses were given( early june to end july) when MOH never mentioned that all must stay at home and still practice strict SOP for 14 days after the 2nd shot. This advice were never given publicly causing many to have false sense of security. After many got infected even after 2 doses of vaccinations that the alarm bell went off. It is also this time that many in the vaccination programs were given fake shots, till now, no one knows the numbers, but the few cases made know to the public shows that it did occur. Could it be just the tip of the iceberg ? Or much much more ?

A town in Brazil with 45000 population has an efficacy of 95%, but for Brazil itself, only 50.4% was reported. Why the vast difference ?

Astrazeneca causes so many problems ( death) in Taiwan that eventually the negative publicities causes the public to avoid it at all cost. Most European countries also faced numerous problems initially, though at later stage, it was reinstated, though no more data to shows if it was used in their vaccinations program. The American even dumped it or donated it to others.

so, making a sweeping decision base on incomplete statistical data is a precarious excercise
