Genting and Genm have no cross shareholdings nor hold any GHK debts! So GHK fallout does not effect Genting and Genm at all!
But investors are worried Director Lim will use Genting and Genm to bailout GHK!
I hope he won't! Empire resort was the latest one! Fortunately Empire Resort is viable business! Worth saving! And now Empire Resort is back in black with bright potentials in gaming!
However GHK is dying business! Not worth saving! Hence Director Lim walking away from GHK by resigning! It's a clear signal he won't bailout GHK!
But the fear is there! What if he change his mind and use Genting and Genm to bailout his dear GHK! At this point, he can't as he official resign from GHK! But we don't really know!
So for the next 2 weeks or so, investors are nervous! That's why we see the extreme knee jerk reaction!
I don't know how low Genting and Genm will go! Until then, we can only watch from sideline!

What we do know is that EPF and PNB will suffer big losses from GHK fallout! So do our local banks that gave unsecured loans! However, it's tiny compare to overall investment of EPF and PNB!

Just by stating through press that Genting and Genm won't bailout GHK should do the trick!

Bankrupt GHK will then be liquidated and proceeds go to creditors!

Hi Tobby, I assume you are saying EPF n PNB hold shares in Genting HK. With all the experts inside EPF n PNB, why did they not cut loss earlier ? Cutting loss early is part n parcel of investment in the stock market.
