China is in transition to a more sustainable greener economy and still have 5% Gdp growth next year. And record trade surpluses next year. That is the reality.
Taiwan is a rich country but with infrastructure far behind China and politicians focused on demonising China instead of solving real problems

How not to have record trade surpluses when China successfully transits to higher value economy. No longer just making toys and assembling phones for others to own brands own technology high value added economy. China will cutting imports of chips worth hundreds of billions and increasing exports of cars, planes, ships, and high value added items.

Xi jinping is a modern man and very open minded about America and the west. He has no problems sending his daughter to Harvard like all Chinese would do during his time.

But Xi is against America hegemony and one sided interference into China. In his words, China don't export revolutions, don't export wars, what is there to criticise? China is just interested in developing China and China has it's rights to develop China.

Reform and opening up remains core policy of China. But it will be limited to economic not to politics. Even in 2050 when China Gdp is twice that of America, China will still be China and China will maintain it's own form of politics.
