Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd and IJM Corporation Bhd today received the letter of acceptance for the construction packages of the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang line.

They confirmed receiving the letters in two filings to Bursa Malaysia.

IJM Construction will be handling the RM974.78 million package V5, which entails the construction and completion of a viaduct guideway and other related works from Maluri Portal to Plaza Phoenix Station.

The project, slated for completion on June 30, 2016, is expected to contribute positively to the group's future earnings.

As for Ahmad Zaki, the company will handle the RM764.908 million package V6, comprising construction and completion of a viaduct guideway and other related works from Plaza Phoenix to Bandar Tun Hussein Onn station.

The project is expected to be completed on June 30, 2016 while the line completion shall be on July 31, 2017.

The works are expected to contribute positively to Ahmad Zaki Group's earnings and the net tangible assets for the financial years ending 2012 to 2017. -- BERNAMA
