MMC Corp Bhd chalked up RM1.002 billion in higher pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2011 from RM555.7 million, registered in 2010. Revenue increased to RM9.337 billion compared with RM8.564 billion recorded
previously.

For the fourth quarter of last year, MMC Corp posted a higher pre-tax
profit of RM376.72 million against RM46.86 million recorded in the corresponding quarter in 2010. Revenue increased to RM2.412 billion, from RM2.18 billion, chalked up previously.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, MMC Corp said the better results were driven
by the energy and utilities segment. The group declared a four sen per share dividend for the just-ended financial year. -- Bernama
