Media Prima Bhd will redesignate Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye as non-independent non-executive director, effective tomorrow.

In a statement, it said Lee was appointed independent non-executive
director of the company on Aug 18, 2003.

Lee's redesignation was pursuant to the provisions of the 'Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance 2012' in respect of the tenure of an independent director which should not exceed a cumulative term of nine years.

He will remain a member of Media Prima's audit committee, remuneration committee and nomination committee. -- Bernama
