Trading in the shares of Scomi Group resumed with effect from 10 am today.

Scomi Group, which was the most actively traded counter this morning, had requested for a suspension of trading in its securities on the main market from 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm yesterday, pending the release of a material announcement.

A filing by Scomi Group with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, showed that Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed, a substantial securities holder had acquired a further 67,251,000 shares, bringing his total stake to 104,177,000 or 8.746 per cent.

As at 10.54 am, Scomi Group rose three sen to 38 sen, with 51.9 million shares transacted. Bernama
