Syarikat Faiza eyes RM500,000 sales

KUALA LUMPUR: Syarikat Faiza Sdn Bhd, a member of the Bernas Group, expects to register monthly sales of RM500,000 and
double-digit growth at the end of next year with the launch of its new rice and non-rice products.

The company's General Manager, Fikri Bin Abu Bakar, said the new products are now available in the local market.

"The target is achievable and the response so far has been overwhelming," he told a media briefing after the official launch of the new products here today.

Fikri said the company would be investing more than RM5 million annually to promote the products.

Syarikat Faiza currently produces 18 types of rice and spices. The new rice products are Kohinoor, Moghul Parboiled and Taj Mahal, while the non-rice products are soya sauce, flour, spices, mi hun and rice cubes.

"We are now exporting non-rice products such as spices, soya sauce and rice cubes to Europe and Middle East countries," he said.

The company has received halal Certification for its products from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) and Health Certification (Free Sales) by the Ministry Of Health.

Its Meat Curry Powder received the Best Product Award 2008 from the Ministry Of Agriculture. -- BERNAMA
