NEW DELHI, India: The Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK)
aims to woo more travellers from Malaysia by promoting the land as an all-season destination via the "Kashmir Event" to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

To be held on September 5, 2013 at Hotel Grand Season, it is the first ever Kashmiri event to be hosted by local tour operators in a foreign country, Rising Kashmir News reported.

"Travellers from the Far East have never stopped visiting Kashmir even in our bad times. We are moving to Malaysia and host a Kashmir Event to felicitate and welcome these travellers. We will also promote Kashmir as an all-season destination," TASK General Secretary Ather Yameen was quoted as saying in the
report.

At the event, TASK associate members would meet travel agents and potential foreign tourists in Malaysia. The report said about 20 tour operators from TASK would participate in the event in Malaysia.

Besides Malaysia, TASK is also eyeing to tap into Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan, it said.-- Bernama
