Main market-listed technology company Willowglen MSC Bhd has acquired a 70 per cent stake in Sentinel Systems Sdn Bhd for RM1.4 million.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, the company said it acquired the shares from two individuals namely, Vishnu Nair Jeyarajan and Roy Ho Yew Kee, in two separate share sale agreements.

On rationale, it said the acquisition could expand its product range in relation to its business in the supply of computer-based control systems.

"The acquisition is not expected to have any material effect on the company's earnings, net assets and gearing for the current financial year," it added.

Sentinel Systems, incorporated in Malaysia, has an authorised and paid-up capital of RM300,000, and is principally engaged in the sales, implementation and maintenance of control room and closed-circuit television solutions.-- Bernama
