Hi increase of raw material why all packaging losing money not making money , revenue still OK but making losses

in every crisis there are opportunities . it is whether one sees it or not and seize the window. maybe short term disruption but it will bounce back. MNC clients need at least two printers. there is only Daibochi and TP listed cos. the company won't lose goodwill built over decades overnight.

Maybe better for them . Still can install few line and run at old factory . They used to make decent profit from old factory . Lol

The previous management run the company down. Used to be very profitable. The current management manage to burn it down to reset what the previous management did.

Probably will be losing their regular clients as there will be no production from that factory for at least a year plus.
Most clients will move on by giving contracts to other manufacturers.
Building a new factory & compensation from the insurer will take time meaning zero activity from that burned down factory.

Rm271m & 80m sum covered untuk semua operasi kilang di Johor & Selangor. 70% pampasan susah lh nak dapat.
Kalau dapat pun 50% pampasan mcm nyawa-nyawa ikan.
Masa tu duit tapi yang sedih nya masa tak berpihak pada company ni sekarang sebab kilang utama nya at 0% production.

It’s just very weird that the fire happened on a Sunday & lunch time. Insurance company will fight all the way & try their best not to pay. Potential long legal battle with insurance company.

When you look at Tomypak 2023 performance, don't be misled by the high profits. This was due to a one-off insurance claims. Excluding these, on an operating level, its past decade returns is just abou the same as those of my reference packaging companies - New Toyo and Canone.
