Samaiden Signs Collaboration Agreement with Gruppe Lighting Solution to Advance Renewable Energy Initiatives

Partnership to Drive Development of Smart, Sustainable Urban Infrastructure in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA, 26 JUNE 2024 – Samaiden Group Berhad ("Samaiden"), a renewable energy (“RE”) specialist principally involved in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (“EPCC”), along with assets investment of solar photovoltaic (“PV”) systems and other renewable energy plants, is delighted to announce the wholly-owned subsidiary of Samaiden, Samaiden Sdn. Bhd. (“SSB”), is signing of a Business Collaboration Agreement (“Agreement”) with Gruppe Lighting Solution Sdn. Bhd. ("Gruppe"). This strategic partnership aims to enhance the deployment of innovative, energy-efficient lighting solutions integrated with renewable energy sources.

Gruppe is a well-established lighting specialist in Malaysia, specialising in public lighting, port/airport lighting, industrial and commercial lighting, sports lighting, and architectural lighting. Gruppe offers the latest technology and energy-efficient solutions to diverse industries, making it one of the leading players in the lighting solutions sector.

Under the Agreement, Samaiden and Gruppe will work together to co-develop and implement solar street lighting systems that incorporate solar panels, battery storage, and smart grid technologies. Additionally, the collaboration extends to smart city projects that integrate solar street lights with Internet of Things (“IoT”) capabilities, which would significantly improve energy management and enhance urban services. The initiative includes hybrid systems which ensuring continuous lighting even during periods of low sunlight by integrating solar energy with other renewable sources. These systems will contribute to the creation of sustainable urban infrastructure, supporting Malaysia’s green energy goals.

Both companies will also collaborate on programs aimed at significantly enhancing energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprints. By deploying state-of-the-art solar lighting solutions, the partnership will lower energy consumption, promote environmental sustainability, and advancing green technologies.
