Empowering the Next Generation of Genomics and Biopharmaceutical Professionals  

PETALING JAYA, 31 JULY 2024 Malaysian Genomics Resource Centre Berhad (“MGRC” or “the Group”), a leading genomics and biopharmaceutical specialist, via MGRC Therapeutics Sdn. Bhd. (“MGRC Therapeutics”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Group, is pleased to collaborate with the IMU University, a premier private higher education institution, on its Graduate Trainee Programme. This initiative focuses on fostering industry education excellence and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

IMU University, renowned for its commitment to producing excellent practitioners, sees this collaboration as a vital step in ensuring their graduates are well-prepared for the competitive job market. With over 30 years of dedicated focus in healthcare education, IMU University holds the distinction of being the initial private medical university to attain self-accreditation status from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and has received SETARA’s highest accolade for the third consecutive time.

The Graduate Trainee Programme offers IMU graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons) in Medical Biotechnology and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biomedical Science an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the genomics and biopharmaceutical industry. Selected graduates will benefit from a holistic career pathway leveraging MGRC’s extensive ecosystem. This programme demonstrates the synergy between academia and industry, ensuring curriculum relevancy and early talent development.
