uncleZ - Warren Buffett Malaysia?
Since we are interested in undervalued stocks, we study famous people with capability to select undervalued stock.
These kind of person not only armed with fundamental analysis skill but also possessed a unique talent that can foresee the growth and potential of the stock they select. Most of these people remain anonymous and really capture our imagination.
In Malaysia, almost everyone serious in stock knows about Fong SiLing (Cold Eyed) and Tan Teng Boo (Global Fund Manager, Investment Strategist & Adviser CEO & MD, Capital Dynamics Group) etc but there is an unsung hero that started posting in http://klse.i3investor.com in 2013.
We have captured all his recommendation and recorded the price and the date he first posted on i3investor or his blog http://unclezmalaysia.blogspot.com/
So who is uncleZ?
Here is our little knowledge of him

Age : Secret
You may be sceptical about the title we use but bear with us and the following is our analysis. We try to use a scenario as follows:
Every time uncleZ posted some stock recommendation, we invest RM10,000. We divide the price by 10k and record the number of stock we can buy.
The following is the results of our analysis.

The earliest transaction was carried out on 15 of August 2013 to buy OCK and latest transaction was carried out on 25 of April 2014 to buy HOVID.
From the above table, we can see that our return to date is an astonishing 100.8% for only a year.
We know that uncleZ has bought these stock much earlier (probably few months or years) before he start posting. He may not be Warren Buffett in terms of profit, but the return of his recommendation is certainly on par if not exceeded Warren Buffett.
We notice that uncleZ recommendation will normally take months before it started to move and we all agree that he has this unique talent that can see future growth and potential of a company.
At the time of writing a few of the stock especially DSONIC (Price close at 1.53) is still deeply undervalued and the upside is 56% from the offical RHB target. We understand from the news, management and reliable source that more projects are in the pipeline and RM2.40 is only the minimum target that include Fuelsub contract that will be announced soon.
If you study his other stock picks such as ECOWORLD, HOVID and OCK, you will be amazed how far his thinking is ahead of others. He knows the management in person and that give him an advantage over others to know more about the future plan.
Although a lot of patience is required to wait for the share value to be realised but once it started, you will be glad. He is truly a long term investor and preach what he practice.

my personal view is the stocks selected have high potential future growth but definitely not undervalued. so with uncle z far sight of acopany future growth and kcchongnz calculation, then it would be a best match ever. thank you uncle z and kcchongnz

apini, I agree with you those counters mentioned above based on existing earning definitely doesn't look like an undervalue counter but look at the potential future earning which a lot of people might think that it is unknown and have risks but if you are right then probably those counters can bring you great return. I myself have been following uncleZ post for quite some times and gain quite a bit from there. He also loves counter that can give good dividend if i'm not mistaken.

ooptikus, I also bought kssc on 23/9 and sold on 29/9 . I bought because it is uptrend and there are so many promotions. I just play for fun otherwise very boring keeping all my core value counters, like matrix, ptaras, scientx,lbs, aeoncr...doing nothing I sold because it had achieved my short term target 15%.
I don't want to hold for long term because when I checked it does not have those fundamental value as the counters I am going to hold for a long long time, How about future potential growth value? I don't know , teamZ may be can help.

Nothing against UncleZ or his stock performance because I don't know much about him. But the author trying to compare these to Warren Buffett performance is full of flaw.
1.Your stimulation of UncleZ one year performance vs Warren Buffett one year - for sure many people can beat Buffett given the size of both portfolio are night and day
2. Your stimulation of UncleZ one year performance vs Warren Buffett 10,20 years - again is flaw too.

JT, thank you for your point.
We appreciate your point but we do not have enough data or like to like comparison since uncleZ only start posting a year early. Perhaps, you can suggest some stock for us to compare and time that Warren Buffett share his view?
Anyway, it's a question mark and we respect everyone will have their own answer. We hope this does not offend any gurus that're not in our coverage. We hope we will not attract jealousy from some others too.
We understand, no one can reach Warren Buffett profit wise as pointed in the article. What we are grateful is the willingness of uncleZ to share his tips way earlier before the price shoot up and I am sure a lot of silent readers has greatly benefit from his advice.
To us, he is way better and generous than Warren as we invest money based on his recommendation and we know him well.
Without doubt, we are sure that there are more individuals or corporation that can beat uncleZ's portfolio but the question remain is whether they are willing to share their selection generously and early enough. Another question is whether their stock pick can withstand time like unclez's recommendation?
I am sure there are more unsung hero. If you have any suggestions of such persons, of course we would like to know and learn from them.

I follow kukumanis buy ifcamsc, within 1 month made 98%, hebat betul.....
then the christine goh of ghl, less than 2 months made 30%.
so now a day, just shout kuat kuat cukup sure make money one

This made me check-out his blog. Turn out 80-85% of his post nothing to do with Stock Analysis at all. Just his point of view on economy, politic, world issues and 1 out of blue moon...... stock analysis.
It looks like he has a life outside of stock trading.... not like most savvy investor so called chartis. I dont think he ever believe in chart also.

In my opinion, I think they are just sharing their view on uncleZ's pick and at the same time may be they are also trying to learn his way of stock picking. I'm a beginner in investing and also one follower of UncleZ too since last year, i'm glad that I decided to follow him and made a decent gain through the beginning of my investment journey. I do not care about what title that TeamZ put for their post as long as if the content is good and i'm benefit from it then it is fine.

dsonic , i once make 400%, now play hit and run because I quite scare of the hundred million debt.
leonfb in whatever way you see is better than KSSC. KSSC i just sold the other day, dare not hold, the earning for most of the quarters most recent years are less than 1 sen, (2013Q3, 11sen due to asset disposal gain) how to be the next pmetal. be realistic and play safe. I know I have made many unhappy, tapi ,what to do, I need to sembayang everyday. win together, lose together. baru ada good mode tapao-tapao di sini

mrmsy, you ask me about tp for dsonic, I say also don't help you very much because i don't guarantee. what i can tell you is the now 1.63 is worthwhile buying for kopi money because the directors bought at higher price > 1.80. so, have I answered you question? apini, don't hijack the thread to promote your leonfb counter lah. At least teamz write something up to share and we can see the performance of each counter. Believe or not is up to us. Buy or sell we need to make our own judgement. Not all unclez stock is a hit such as scable and from the post we can analyse it.

Am I missing something? Who is talking about kssc here. It is a thread about unclez stock. Nothing to do with kssc. It is only you to tell the whole world how clever you are bought kssc shares and sold it on 29/9. We know you pan lai Lah. No need to show off everywhere..

1. Kssc was mentioned by oopstikus in the first commend of this thread. I talked kscc in reply to oopstikus. what's wrong, Why didn’t you show your objection then
2 Do you realise, may it be kssc or unclez shares , they are all talked by the same person in this blog which has only 2 pages, the readers read both including you yourself. So to me there are same thread but different pages, I do not consider it as an a hijack as you said

Are we all so caught up in winning and greed that we forget to show appreciation.
