Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd has applied to enforce the Singapore International Arbitration Centre’s (SIAC) awards against PT First Media Tbk (PTFM), PT Direct Vision (PTDV) and PT Ayunda Prima Mitra (PTAPM) in Indonesia. Astro said its whollyowned subsidiary, Measat Broadcast Network Systems Sdn Bhd, together with seven other claimants applied the enforcement. On Sept 9, the Supreme Court of Indonesia had dismissed the claimants’ appeal against the non-exequatur order issued by the Central Jakarta District Court in favour of PTFM, PTDV and PTAPM. On the advice of its counsel, Measat and the other claimants had on Feb 28 filed an application at the Supreme Court of Indonesia for judicial review.
