Last month, BFM looked at a carbon trading deal pursued by Kelantan that was rejected by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. One of the federal government’s reasons for rejecting the deal was because it would obstruct the national plan to obtain climate financing from the United Nations.

Today on Current Affairs, BFM explores the government’s initiatives for forest management and current environmental issues plaguing the people.

This is the second part of our series exploring climate financing for forest management in Malaysia. You can listen to Part 1 here.

This is a report by Tan Zhai Yun.
