Over the weekend, 11 countries agreed to push ahead with the Trans-Pacific Partnership without the US. Also, Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte claims that China had threatened war if the Philipines drilled for oil in a disputed area of the South China Sea. Singapore also risks getting on China's bad side with its 'independence' in regional controversies.
