The Qatar diplomatic crisis happened out of the blue in June when several Middle East nations abruptly cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar. Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt severed relations with Qatar by withdrawing ambassadors and imposing trade and travel bans.
