A Malaysian woman, Cheng and her son, also of Malaysian citizenship, have been banned from leaving China. This comes as a result of a long and complicated child custody struggle, involving Cheng’s ex-husband, who is a Chinese national. According to reports, her ex-husband abducted their son twice. After 820 days, Cheng was reunified with her son, only to find out two days later that a travel ban had been imposed on them.

Cheng's family has started a petition to get the Chinese government to address this issue. You can find out more at http://bit.ly/petition-Free2MalaysiansInChina
