Forensic science has become one of the most important areas of scientific study of the 20th and 21st century; from high profile assassinations to natural disasters, each event requires the gathering and analysis of evidence that can help provide answers or administer justice in a court of law. But for the man on the street, our knowledge of forensic science might limited to what we've seen on television- men and women in lab coats, dusting for fingerprints, testing DNA samples and making game changing discoveries.
