John Chambers, formerly chief executive of network equipment giant Cisco and now the leader of venture capital firm JC2 Ventures, claims that in his university tours, “80 to 90% [of students] raise their hands” when asked if they’d prefer working for a startup rather than the government or large companies. What makes startups so appealing for the entering workforce?
