The Future of Malaysian Cinemas After Nationwide Closure

The Malaysian Association Of Film Exhibitors (MAFE) recently announced that cinemas nationwide will cease operations until further notice. This comes on the heels of an extended CMCO in KL and Selangor, and is followed by almost a year of insignificant revenue due to the pandemic. What does this mean for the future of our local cinemas, and can we expect to bounce back from this anytime soon?
