Professor Dato' Dr Tengku Aizan Binti Tengku Abdul Hamid, Founding Director, Institute of Gerontology, Universiti Putra Malaysia

We are approaching the one-year anniversary since Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim was sworn in as the tenth Prime Minister of Malaysia on 24th November last year, and we're taking a look at the different issues in health and healthcare that the Prime Minister and the government can prioritise in the next year. The fact that Malaysia is a rapidly ageing middle-income country has not escaped the attention of this administration, or its predecessors. But what more needs to be prioritised by the government, to put in place proper administrative and policy responses to support our greying population?
