KUALA LUMPUR: AmResearch expects the sheer size of new Malaysian-centric oil and gas projects, potentially up to RM9 billion in the pipeline, to continue generating excitement for the sector.
The research house said on Monday, Sept 6 that given a re-acceleration in Malaysia?s oil gas capex up-cycle coupled with the proposed listing of MISC?s Malaysia Marine Heavy Engineering by October 2010, it maintained its OVERWEIGHT view on the sector.
?We have BUY calls on SapuraCrest Petroleum, Alam Maritim Resources, Kencana Petroleum, Tanjung Offshore, Dialog Group and Petronas Gas,? it said.
