Gamuda Bhd will replace Tanjong Public Limited Company in the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) from Sept 20, 2010.
This followed the unconditional takeover announcement on Tanjong Public by Tanjong Capital Sdn Bhd, said Bursa Malaysia in a statement today.
Tanjong Public will be deleted from the index and Gamuda will be added to the index with shares in issue total of 2.013 billion and an investability weighting of 100 per cent, it said.
Bursa Malaysia said with the inclusion of Gamuda in the FBM KLCI, the company will be deleted from the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Mid 70 Index and replaced by TA Global Bhd.
TA Global will be added to the index with shares in issue total of 4.106 billion and an investability weighting of 30 per cent from Sept 20, 2010, it said.
TA Global will be deleted from FTSE Bursa Malaysia Small Cap Index on the same date, it added. -- Bernama
