KUALA LUMPUR: Hwang DBS Vickers Research news flow is relatively thin and most of the subject matter in town is revolving around expectations of the upcoming 2011 Budget this Friday, Oct 15.

"We think trading interest in Malaysia bourse would remain strong with trading volume on an upward momentum while the spot month FBMKLCI futures traded on a slight premium to the cash market yesterday," it said in its market outlook on Tuesday, Oct 12.

Hwang DBS Vickers Research said technically, the benchmark FBM KLCI is likely to continue its upward trend, trading closer to its immediate resistance level of 1,495 while failing which, it will find its support at the 1,465 level.

Over in the US market, most stocks ended marginally higher with key equity barometers added between 0.01% and 0.04% as there was growing speculation that the Federal Reserve will inject more cash into the economy to preserve its recovery.
