KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 9): Perdana Petroleum has bagged RM38.2 million worth of work orders from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to supply three units of anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels.

The oil and gas offshore marine service provider told the local exchange operator that the group’s wholly-owned subsidiary Perdana Nautika Sdn Bhd (PNSB) had received two work orders for the provision of two units of AHTS vessels in Sarawak.

The two work orders were received on April 5 and 18 this year.

The first work order, valued at RM10.2 million, commenced on May 10 and is for a duration of up to 203 days, with an option to extend for up to 203 days.

The second work order, worth RM11.7 million, commenced on June 5. It is for a duration of 223 days with an option to extend for 223 days.

In a separate filing, Perdana Petroleum said PNSB had received a work order amendment and extension for one unit of AHTS vessel in Sabah on April 20 this year.

The work order extension, which commenced on April 29, is valued at RM16.3 million for the amendment of the extended period of charter without the option.

Under the extension, there is an amendment to the extension period from the original contract of up to 292 days to 226 days, with an option to extend for 60 days. This is the second amendment to the extension period.

The original work order was first received on March 7 last year.

Perdana Petroleum’s shares price closed down 0.5 sen or 2.7% to 18 sen, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM399 million.
