KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 4): Eita Resources Bhd director Fu Mun Win and alternate director Fu Jia Lik have emerged as substantial shareholders of the electrical component supplier with a 16.53% stake.

According to bourse filings on Monday, Mun Win and Jia Lik hold 43.03 million shares or a 16.53% indirect stake in Eita via Sudut Kreatif Sdn Bhd, the investment vehicle of their late father Fu Wing Hoong, who was managing director and co-founder of Eita.

It is understood that the ownership of Sudut Kreatif has since been transmitted to the pair in accordance with a grant of probate ― a legal document appointing executors to manage an estate.

In turn, Wing Hoong and his wife Lee Pek See have ceased to be deemed as substantial shareholders of the company.

The 14.33 million warrants held under Sudut Kreatif are also deemed to be indirectly owned by Mun Win and Jia Lik.

Eita previously announced Wing Hoong passing at age 63 back in October last year.

Mun Win's appointment as a non-independent and non-executive director of the company followed in December 2022. Jia Lik was appointed as an alternate director to Mun Win on the same day.

Shares in Eita ended 1.5 sen or 2.08% lower at 70.5 sen, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM183.38 million.
