KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 6): ATA IMS Bhd (KL:ATAIMS) said its chief operating officer (COO) Dharma Rajan Nadarajah has stepped down, effective Wednesday.
Dharma Rajan, 55, resigned from his post “to pursue personal interest”, according to the cash-strapped electronics manufacturing service company’s bourse filing. He took the role in May 2022.
He was previously the executive vice president of Singapore-listed Venture Corp Ltd. He has been with the electronics manufacturer for more than 20 years, according to past filing.
Meanwhile, ATA IMS announced that it has appointed AV Kamaraj Vellapan as the group’s new COO.
Kamaraj, 54, brings with him 33 years of experience in the contract manufacturing sector.
“Throughout his career, Kamaraj has cultivated strong relationships with numerous leading electronics companies globally,” the company said.
He previously served as the operations director for Technocom Systems Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Venture Corp, where he oversaw various functions, including operations and customer management.
“He has a robust and demonstrated track record in financial management, business development, and operational excellence, particularly in the areas of PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) and box build expertise,” said ATA IMS.
Shares of ATA IMS closed up one sen or 2.99% to 34.5 sen on Thursday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM415.51 million.
