Music festival season is here - even in the world of video games! For the first time, The Sims 4 players will be able to gather online to attend concerts from June 29 to July 7. On the program is Bebe Rexha as well as songs performed in the Sims language. Indeed, why leave the game at all?

Electronic Arts has announced the first virtual music festival in The Sims 4. The event will take place from June 29 to July 7. Gamers will be able to meet online in the cult video game to attend several concerts. The event is called Sims Sessions.

Artists Bebe Rexha, Glass Animals and Joy Oladokun have already been announced as headliners and will present their songs in a very special way. Forget English, the singers will try singing for the first time in Simlish, the language invented in the video game Sims, according to the official website. Singer Bebe Rexha will collaborate with TikTok influencers for a karaoke session - once again in the language of The Sims.

In addition to the musical performances, the event launched by Electronic Arts is being presented as a real festival and will use the same setup. It will be possible to buy artists' merchandise or to work a stand selling crafts or food. A camping area will even be set up to reproduce the popular festival atmosphere.

While the Sims Sessions festival is free to attend, you will still need the video game The Sims 4, which is not free, to enjoy the music.

Virtual concerts became a major trend in 2020. A trend heightened by the Covid-19 pandemic and now seems to be well established. Meanwhile, some video games, such as Fortnite, are even getting into film festivals.
