The Snapchat app seemed to have been affected by a bug which caused it to crash every time users clicked on it.

While those carrying Android smartphones were safe and could go on their merry way and share snaps at will, iOS users faced a tougher time.

The issue stemmed from the fact that every time a user wanted to boot up Snapchat by clicking on it, surprisingly, the app crashed.

The issue was acknowledged by the company through a tweet, but nothing much else was happening.

Until now, that is. The Snapchat bug fix has been rolled out and this was revealed by its SVP of Product and later on by the company itself on its Twitter account: “The issue has been resolved. If you're still having trouble, please manually update to version 11.34.1.35 in the App Store Thumbs up”.

The problem looks to have been solved and Snapchat is back to its best.

However, you will need to go through the process to fix the problem yourself, unless you had enabled automatic updates for the app on your device. The Verge reported that after updating their device, iPhone 12 Mini, to the latest Snapchat version, the problem and crash message is no longer appearing and they even managed to send a Snap successfully.

So, what do you need to do to get the fix, if your device has not already automatically downloaded it? Here is how to fix the Snapchat bug: Go to the Apple App Store and then tap on your profile picture in the top right corner, and pull down to refresh. The update should appear for you to download.
