Set in a breath-taking post-apocalyptic world, "Biomutant" is an action role-playing game where humans have been wiped out and only mutant animals still live on Earth.

The Tree of Life ensures their survival, but a poison is attacking its roots, threatening the future of the planet. In addition, the animal mutants are divided into six tribes that hate each other.

Players take on a character that's half raccoon and half cat, and which battles hostile mutants using a variety of weapons that can be improved along the way.

The raccoon-cat's skills can also be enhanced as the game progresses.

Players have to be smart about how they use their skills.

The brightly coloured, open world is divided into very different areas, and night-day changes and the weather also have an influence on the game.

The developers have packed in pretty much everything that works and is fun in other games: absurd weapons, fast battles, explosions, vehicles and aircraft, role-playing elements, tough decisions, super slow motion and much more.

"Biomutant" is available for PCs, the PlayStation, and the Xbox and costs around US$60 .
