[CB INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT HOLDING BHD：special purpose vehicles部门的业绩改善]

截至2018年9月30日止财政期间，CB工业产品的除税前溢利增加9％，尽管CB工业产品的收入较去年同期减少16％。CB工业产品除税前溢利增加主要是由于special purpose vehicles部门的业绩改善，尽管联营公司及合营公司产生亏损。

棕榈油设备和工程部门的税前利润增长了2％，尽管与去年同期相比收入减少了2％。利润增加主要是由于外汇损失减少，尽管本财政期间股票市场表现不佳导致资产管理投资亏损。

special purpose vehicles部门的收入减少39％，而除税前溢利较去年同期增加109％。利润增加主要是由于生产成本降低导致项目利润率提高。

联营公司及合营公司的业绩改善，亏损为60万令吉，而上一季则亏损为260万令吉。该改善主要是由于本季度棕榈产品产量增加所致。

前景：
考虑到手头持有的项目的进展及当前充满挑战的环境，董事会乐观地认为，CB工业产品将能够取得令人满意的业绩，主要受截至2018年12月31日止财政年度的special purpose vehicles及棕榈油设备及工程部门所推动。

[CB INDUSTRIAL PRODUCT HOLDING BHD: improved result by the special purpose vehicles segment]

The Group’s profit before taxation for the financial period ended 30 September 2018 increased by 9% despite a decrease in the Group’s revenue by 16% as compared to the same period last year. The increase in the Group’s profit before taxation was mainly due to improved result by the special purpose vehicles segment despite share of losses incurred by the associates and joint ventures.

The palm oil equipment and engineering segment reported higher profit before taxation by 2% despite a lower revenue by 2% as compared to the same period last year. The increase in profit was mainly due to lower foreign exchange losses despite the losses incurred by the investment in asset management resulting from the poor performance in the equity market during the current financial period.

The revenue of the special purpose vehicles segment decreased by 39% whereas the profit before taxation increased by 109% as compared to the same period last year. The increase in profit was mainly due to higher project margin resulting from lower production costs.

The combined share of results of the associates and joint ventures improved with a loss of RM0.6 million as compared to a loss of RM2.6 million in the immediate preceding quarter. The improvement was mainly due to higher production of palm products during the current quarter.

Prospects:
Considering the progress of the projects secured in hand and the current challenging environment, the Board is optimistic that the Group will able to achieve satisfactory results mainly driven by the special purpose vehicles and palm oil equipment and engineering segments for the financial year ending 31 December 2018.
